SPEAKER: Mat Bogust, Design & Managing Director, Think Packaging
Mat Bogust, Think Packaging's founder, calls himself a "cardboard engineer"—a title he created for himself for two reasons—first, it sounds cool, and second, it describes his specialised niche in the packaging design world. Mat loves cardboard and salsa dip, though not together.
Topic: What the fu*k is a cardboard engineer?
Into a tale of leaving the UK with a one-way ticket to Rio and somehow ending up a New Zealander and carving out a new, niche business. With no business experience but taking opportunities and just saying yes.
Oh, and it took around six years to earn any money doing it. I might also show some cardboard things and discuss why measuring in Microns is better than GSM.
